Controller ergonomics, performance, and design optimize the gameplay experience for set-top boxes and mobile devices
LOS ANGELES – Jan. 20, 2016 – Leading gaming accessories manufacturer Nyko today announced the release of the Cygnus Controller for Android. The result of years of experience building controllers for all popular gaming platforms, Cygnus is a full-sized wireless Bluetooth controller redesigned from the ground up to optimize gameplay experiences on a tablet, smartphone, set-top box, or VR headset running Android. The Cygnus Controller is now available at Amazon or the Nyko online store for an MSRP of $24.99.
“As Android platforms become more powerful and the demand for them continues to grow, we wanted to create a streamlined controller that would suit the needs of the mass market,” said Chris Arbogast, Nyko’s head of sales and marketing. “Cygnus provides a comfortable, performance-minded design and console-like feel at an affordable price for any device running Android, particularly set-top boxes and VR headsets.”
Featuring dual analog sticks, a d-pad, four face buttons, and left/right dual shoulder/trigger buttons, Cygnus has the necessary tools to make Android gaming feel as smooth and comfortable as playing on any traditional game console. Using the standard Android HID protocol, Cygnus is compatible with the latest mobile games optimized for Android controllers. Cygnus runs on two AA batteries and is compatible with any Android 3.0 device or higher with Bluetooth.
