An updated dockable protective case for Nintendo Switch™ and a fun way to communicate with friends in online games
LOS ANGELES – January 8th, 2019 - Nyko Technologies, the inventive LA-based video game accessories manufacturer, today announced their latest lineup of console gaming accessories at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The new products include Dpad Case, a dockable protective case with a Dpad configurable Joy-Con™ cover for Nintendo Switch™ and Sound Box, a multi-button device with preloaded fun sounds to send to friends during online games that can be used on multiple platforms. Both products are set to launch in Spring 2019 and additional details on the products can be found below.
Dpad Case
Dpad Case is an ultra-thin case for the Switch that protects the console without adding major bulk. The case protects both the outer shell of the console and Joy-Cons, and comes with a tempered glass screen protector. The cover for the left Joy-Con can be configured to have a Dpad or allow the buttons to pass through. When not in use, the Dpad can be stored conveniently inside the Joy-Con cover. The underside of the Joy-Con covers have slots to store up to 3 game cards. Like Thin Case, the minimal size of Dpad Case allows it to remain attached while the Switch is docked, saving players from the hassle of removing it every time they want to charge the console. Dpad Case will be available in Spring 2019 for an MSRP of $19.99.
Sound Box
Sound Box provides a unique way to communicate with friends in online games by sending fun sounds over voice chat. Sound Box has 19 preset sounds and each button is programmable allowing the audio output to be customized. A cancelation button allows the payback of any sound to instantly be stopped. Sound Box has internal memory, as well as, a microSD card slot for optional memory expansion. The included 3.5mm cable plugs into the bottom of Sound Box and can be plugged into a PlayStation®4 or Xbox One® controller, Nintendo Switch™ console or smart phone. A headset plugs in at the top of Sound Box so players can communicate with their party chat and hear the sounds being sent. A volume control on the side allows the output of the sound to be adjusted to a desired level. Each button is backlit providing an easy way to use Sound Box while playing in the dark. A power button is located on the side of Sound Box and it contains an internal rechargeable battery that is recharged by the included Micro-USB cable. Sound Box will be available in Spring 2019 for an MSRP of $39.99.
