Easily upgrade the HDD capacity of the Xbox One™. The Data Bank for the Xbox One allows the use of an external 3.5'' hard drive* in addition to the stock 2.5'' hard drive that comes pre-installed in the system. 3.5" drives are less expensive at higher memory capacities than the 2.5" drives commonly found in standard external hard drives. The unit also includes a front facing LED indicator which illustrates when the Xbox One™ is saving or accessing content on the hard drive. The Data Bank is powered by its own dedicated power cable to run the 3.5" hard drive.

Installing the Data Bank is easy and takes only a few minutes. Simply attach the Data Bank to the top of the Xbox One and plug the USB cable into the back of the console. The USB connection allows the Xbox One to access the data stored on the 3.5" HDD. Slide any 3.5" drive into the Data Bank and attach the drive cover. Once the drive is properly installed, plug the Data Bank in to any wall outlet via the provided power cord and turn on your system.

With the Data Bank installed the Xbox One™'s storage capacity can easily be augmented by installing most 3.5" hard drives, drastically increasing the amount of games and save files that can be stored on the system.

1. Does the Data Bank for Xbox One come with a 3.5
No, the Data Bank does not come with a 3.5" hard drive.
2. Do I need to remove the internal hard drive to use the Data Bank?
No, the Data Bank is a hard drive enclosure and will allow you to expand the storage capacity of your Xbox One™ console. It provides the ability to add a 3.5” drive to your console as additional storage.
3. Does the Data Bank draw power from the console to run the 3.5” hard drive?
No, the Data Bank comes with its own power supply and does not draw power from the console to run the 3.5” hard drive.
4. Can I use a Solid State Hard Drive with the Data Bank?
Yes, provided it fits in a standard 3.5” enclosure or has a 3.5” enclosure bracket.
5. My Xbox One™ will not read the Data Bank once it is connected. Is there an issue with the Data Bank?
Probably not, this is usually remedied by doing a hard reboot on your Xbox One™ console. You can do this by pressing and holding the power button on the Xbox One™ until it shuts off. Once it is shut off, press the power button again to turn the console back on. You should see the green Xbox One™ boot up screen upon turning on the console. If this still does not resolve the issue, please contact our customer support team here.
6. Is the Data Bank compatible with the Xbox One S?
No, Data Bank is not compatible with the Xbox One S.
7. What is the largest 3.5” hard drive I can use with the Data Bank.
We have tested up to 6TB with the Data Bank. Theoretically, larger size hard drives could be used but we have not tested larger than 6TB at this time and cannot guarantee it will work.
